Len Kilby has been a Senior Executive in the Food and Beverage business for the last 35+ years, in which he was President of three (3) different companies of various sizes. Len received a BA in Business and went on to get his MBA at Case Western Reserve, in Cleveland, while working in the steel business. Shortly thereafter, he managed a company that built the first beverage dispensers designed to automatically interface with cash registers for “total” monetary control. Later, he switched to the Food Processing industry and was President of Colborne Corporation in Chicago and later Stewart-Systems in Plano, Texas.

He was with Stewart-Systems for 25 years in which he eventually became part owner of the company before it was sold to Middleby Corporation in 2012. He continued his work with Middleby as President of Global Sales for the Bakery Group. Under Len’s leadership, the companies grew significantly in size and International sales became 50% of the total volume, following the fast food giants globally. Three (3) patents were also issued under his name.

As a reflection of his accomplishments, the main conference room at the new Bakery Innovation Center was named after him called “Kilby’s Café”.
